It was so incredible to have experienced. They played their epic 1997 album Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space in its entirety, accompanied by a full choir and orchestra.
It was such a big sound with so much raw human emotion, the gaps and the quietness in spaces in the album equally as powerful as the full bodied orchestra's beautifully bombastic moments. Devastatingly beautiful sombre songs such as
Broken Heart sat hauntingly amongst the uplifting tracks all perfectly played in the order they were intended.
Frontman Jason Pierce dressed in white tee shirt and white jeans was seated in front of the white robed choir as he charmingly performed, twitching his foot as he sang. The light show beautifully accompanied the sound and added to the transcendental feeling in the historic Radio City Music Hall.
Hopefully these photos I took capture at least some of that feeling.

New York is amazing, but there is also nothing better than escaping the city and the heat on the weekend!
This weekend we finally got away, we discovered the charm of seaside
Montauk. Walking barefoot on the beach and swimming, the incredible rosehips and blue hydrangeas that bloomed throughout the town and Americana eateries and old bars made it a great little getaway.
It would have been even more perfect if we had of stumbled upon the impromptu secret
Rufus Wainwright show that we heard about the next day on the train back. Instead I got to listen in to interesting conversations on the ride home by fellow passenger
Peter Hedges, the writer and director of one of my favorite films
"What's eating Gilbert Grape?"
Thanks for having us this weekend Montauk.

I don't have many vices but great coffee is something I have a lot of affection for. So as you can imagine, coming from Melbourne (still quite possibly the best coffee city in the world in my opinion) to New York has been interesting to say the least. All I can say is thank you to a few amazing gems that can be found one of which is Stumptown Coffee.
Stumptown Coffee is attached to the Ace Hotel, which is equally a nice place to visit, it is a bit of a walk down the street I work from and and there is always a long line but it is well worth the effort. Getting my morning coffee at Stumptown has become a ritual of mine and is a great way to ease into the day. They also sell delicious little pastries and brownies and Mast Brothers Chocolate, who I first discovered on The Selby. Mast Brothers Chocolate is incredible, they really deserve a post of there own, but click here to see their Brooklyn based chocolate creating production.
Other great coffee Places I can recommend in NYC are:
Ninth Street Espresso
BlueBird
Mojo Coffee

It was so exciting to see the always lovely Sharne Scott shot by Tommy Ton on
Jak and Jil recently. Sharne has great personal style. I have the pleasure of working with Sharne as she works as a brand and showroom manager at
M&P.
Other special things about Sharne that you may not know are that:
1. She met me at the Sydney airport at 7.30am on a public holiday to pick up the Arnsdorf SS11 collection for RAFW on my way back to Melbourne from New York - amazing!
3. Sharne has made a cameo appearance in a
Russh Magazine shoot, making out with her boyfriend.
